Sean McVay's Face Said Everything the Rams Didn't Want to Hear About Their QB Pick

The Rams pulled the trigger on Ty Simpson with the 13th overall pick Thursday night, and if you watched Sean McVay's body language during the announcement, you already knew something felt off. The head coach's demeanor didn't exactly scream celebration. According to reports, McVay's press conference became the talk of the media immediately after, with observers dissecting every gesture and word choice for clues about how he really felt about the decision.

The Simpson Selection Nobody Saw Coming (Until They Did)

Here's the thing: the Rams were linked to Ty Simpson for months. The whispers were out there. But Rams fans didn't believe it. Not really. When Les Snead actually made the move, it landed like a shock to the system. One thing that raised eyebrows was the connection between Snead and Simpson's father. Reports surfaced about whether Snead and Simpson Sr. were close friends, adding another layer to how the pick actually went down. It wasn't just football. It felt personal.

What This Pick Actually Changes

The Rams improved their roster Thursday night, according to some assessments. But the reaction from fans told a different story. Supporters were vocal with their skepticism, with comments ranging from "Crazy to me" to expressions of disbelief about the entire direction. For a franchise that doesn't keep its first-round picks, this felt like another confusing chapter in the same story.

The next move is on McVay and Snead. Will the Rams get even more aggressive in the coming rounds, or is this the reset everyone's been waiting for? One thing's certain: the body language at the podium already gave us half the answer.
