After a whirlwind of 24 hours... The Seattle Seahawks went from being extremely concerned about Geno Smith's health, to finding out that he will healthy.
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith "shouldn't miss any time," a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter, after tests for knee and hip injuries didn't show anything significant.
Smith, who was rolled up on in practice this week, is dealing with general soreness and should be fine moving forward, Pelissero reported. Smith missed Friday's practice, however, as he's getting tests done on his hip, Rapoport reported.
Smith missed the team's past two practices. Coach Mike Macdonald said Smith "got banged up a little bit" Tuesday.
With Smith sidelined, Sam Howell has taken first-team reps, with free-agent addition P.J. Walker taking backup reps.
In 32 starts over the past two seasons, Smith has completed 67.4% of his passes for 7,906 yards, 50 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions.
Good news on Geno Smith 🙏🙏
