A shocking development during the Seattle Seahawks bye week... They are releasing starting linebacker Tyrel Doson, who has played 7 games for the Seahawks and has 71 tackles on the season.
The Seahawks were clearly not happy with their two man LBs this season, they moved off of Bobby Wagner and Jordyn Brooks, and went with Jerome Baker and Tyrel Dodson.
Jerome Baker was traded for Ernest Jones IV two weeks ago, and now they have released Tyrel Dodson.

He was the weakside linebacker for the last two games as they moved Ernest Jones IV to the middle linebacker spot after the trade, they clearly do not like what they are seeing and plan to use Tyrice Knight at that spot moving forward.
The Seahawks rank 24th in yards allowed and 26th in rushing yards allowed overall (139.4 per game and per attempt (4.8).
Dodson, 26, was due to make $2.25 million in base salary this year, and the Seahawks will get out of the rest of that as his salary was not guaranteed. Dodson was due $44,705 each week as a roster bonus.
This has opened a roster spot and the Seahawks officially have signed CB Josh Jobe to the 53-man roster.
