According to Tom Pelissero, the Seattle Seahawks are trading OLB Darrell Taylor to the Chicago Bears in exchange for a 2025 sixth-round pick.
Taylor was set to be a restricted free agent this offseason until the former second-round signed an extension with Seattle. He’s set to earn a base salary of $3,136,000 in 2024.

Taylor has been a really good pass rusher for the Seahawks, but he has struggled a lot in the run game. The Seahawks are very deep at this position with Dre'Mont Jones moving to the same position this offseason. Taylor was the 5th guy and the odd man out. The OLB/EDGE position for the Seahawks will be Dre'Mont Jones, Uchenna Nwosu, Boye Mafe, and Derick Hall.
He’s more OLB or EDGE.

He’s the 5th guy there. Odd man out.
There was a lot of potential with Darrell Taylor, it's unfortunate that it just never seemed to full work out with Seattle.
In 2023, Taylor appeared in all 17 games for the Seahawks and recorded 28 total tackles, seven tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks and one pass deflection. Taylor concludes his four-year Seahawks tenure with 91 total tackles, 22 tackles for loss, 21.5 sacks and five forced fumbles.
