Tarik Skubal Is Already Playing Catch, and Mariners Fans Know What That MEANS

Yo, Seattle fam! You catch that report about Tigers ace Tarik Skubal already playing catch? One hour ago, man! Our buddies in Detroit are getting some early good news, and you know what? When you hear about an ace pitcher getting back on the field, every single one of us in the Emerald City instantly thinks about our own guys, right? We're a full month into the MLB season, the smell of hot dogs and fresh-cut grass is in the air at T-Mobile Park, and you can practically taste the excitement here. We're keeping our eyes peeled for every little bit of good news about our Mariners squad, because this early season sets the tone for everything!

Our Guys Need to Bring the Heat

It's early in the season, but every single pitch counts. When you hear about a guy like Skubal out there, it just hammers home how crucial every arm is in a long season, and how much we depend on our lineup to back them up. Cal Raleigh is out there grinding behind the plate, leading the charge, and Julio Rodriguez is tearing it up in center field, making incredible plays look easy. You know they're giving it their absolute all, and we're just ready for them to keep building that momentum, keep making those highlight reels. No matter what the national headlines are buzzing about, our focus is always, always on our squad, bringing that signature Mariners heat every single game. We're in this for the long haul, and these early wins are vital!

The Hawks Are Cooking, But It's a Grind

Now, switching gears to the gridiron, you hear about some of the wild stuff already happening in the league. Deion Sanders mentioned his son went "through hell" as a Browns rookie. Man, that’s a brutal start for anyone in the pros, and it reminds you just how much of a relentless battle the NFL is. We've got our own challenges ahead, and the 12s know that every single snap is a fight. We're watching our guys, Sam Darnold, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Rashid Shaheed, and Cooper Kupp, just itching to explode onto the scene this year. Head Coach Mike Macdonald and OC Brian Fleury are definitely cooking something up, a new era for our Hawks, and we're hungry to see it pay off. We know Week 1 is still a bit off, but the anticipation for Lumen Field to be rocking is absolutely real, especially when you see other teams like the Broncos and Chiefs kicking off their 2026 season on Monday Night Football, or the Bills opening Highmark Stadium Week 2 against the Lions. It’s a reminder that every team is preparing, and our Seahawks are no different. They're putting in the work, trust that! So yeah, the national sports world is doing its thing, churning out headlines left and right, but here in Seattle, our eyes are locked on our teams, as always. We're showing up at T-Mobile Park, we're gearing up for Lumen Field to be absolutely electric, and we're ready for everything these early days of the season throw at us. Keep that Emerald City energy high, 12s, because every game, every play, is a chance to prove what we're made of and what we're building. We're riding with our squad, no matter what. Let's go, Seattle!
