The 12s Are Back In Business: Your First Look At The Seahawks' Fresh Rookie Class

The Seahawks rookie class took the field for the first time on May 1, 2026, and the Virginia Mason Athletic Center was buzzing. This is what it looks like when a team that just won the Super Bowl gets to reload with young talent. Day one of rookie minicamp is always electric, but this one hits different in Seattle right now.

Fresh Faces, Familiar Excellence

Jadarian Price and the rest of the 2026 rookie class got their first real taste of professional football at the facility. These are the guys who will develop behind a championship core that includes Sam Darnold at quarterback and playmakers like Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Rashid Shaheed, and Cooper Kupp on the outside. Head coach Mike Macdonald and offensive coordinator Brian Fleury are running a program that just won it all, so expectations for this rookie class are sky high.

Learning From The Best

One of the coolest moments from day one was seeing Seahawks legend Richard Sherman come through to work with the rookie defensive backs. That's the kind of mentorship that changes a young player's trajectory. Sherman knows what it takes to win at the highest level, and these rookies are getting direct access to that knowledge.

What's Next

The rookie class is just getting started, and the energy around the facility is unmistakable. These young players are joining a team that just hoisted the Lombardi Trophy and celebrated with the 12s at Lumen Field. That's the standard they're inheriting. Macdonald's vision for the Seahawks is alive and well, and the future is being built right now at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center.
