The Kraken Get Another Crack at Winnipeg, and This Time They're Going for the Sweep

Here's the setup: the Seattle Kraken are heading to Winnipeg on Monday night, and they've got a chance to complete the season sweep against the Jets. That's the kind of statement hockey teams make when they're rolling, and right now the Kraken have the chance to show they belong in that conversation.

The Kraken got a taste of victory earlier this season against Winnipeg, which means they know exactly what it takes to beat this Jets team. Coming back for round two on the road is no small task, but if Seattle can pull it off, that's two wins in the books against a quality opponent and a huge confidence boost heading into the final stretch of the season.

What the Kraken Bring to Winnipeg

Joey Daccord between the pipes has been holding down the fort for Seattle all season, and the defense in front of him, anchored by guys like Adam Larsson, Vince Dunn, and Brandon Montour, gives the Kraken a solid foundation. Up front, Jordan Eberle leads the charge as captain, with depth contributions from Matty Beniers, Jared McCann, Chandler Stephenson, and others keeping the pressure on night after night. Kaapo Kakko and Berkly Catton add skill and speed to the lineup, while Tye Kartye brings physicality to the mix.

Why This Matters Right Now

You don't get many chances to sweep quality teams in this league, especially on the road. If the Kraken can walk out of Winnipeg with a W on Monday, that's the kind of win that gets talked about in the locker room, the kind of win that builds momentum for the final push of the season. Every game counts at this point, and taking care of business against the Jets would be huge for Seattle's standing.

Puck drops Monday night in Winnipeg. This is the kind of game that shows who's serious about making noise.
