The Super Bowl LX Champs Are Missing Their White House Visit and Nobody in the Emerald City Is Talking About It

You know we bleed blue and green, celebrating every W for our Hawks like it's a national holiday. Our incredible Super Bowl LX victory, man, that was legendary! We thought we’d be reliving that glory for months, seeing our guys get all the well-deserved recognition. But something HUGE has been simmering, or rather, *not* simmering, since that triumph. It’s got us scratching our heads, honestly.

Our beloved Seahawks, the reigning Super Bowl LX champions, *still* haven't visited the White House! And frankly, as days tick by, it looks like it's not even going to happen. The silence around this is deafening, and as loyal 12s, we need to talk about why our champs aren't getting this traditional honor. What gives?

What Happened to the Super Bowl LX Tradition?

Normally, after winning the biggest game in football, a trip to Washington D.C. to meet the President is just part of the deal. It's a huge moment for the team, for the city, for us fans! But for our Hawks? Zero official announcements, not from the team, not from the White House. And here's the kicker: the offseason program is over, players are scattered until training camp, meaning that "natural window" for a visit has totally slammed shut. It's just... gone.

Remember after Super Bowl LX, when whispers started? The team kept it tight, saying nothing had been offered or decided. Even Coach Mike Macdonald sounded mystified at the Scouting Combine. He literally asked, "We're going to get an invite, right? That's how it works? Not really sure how it works." Talk about awkward! Since then? Crickets. Nothing. No invite, no rejection, just this bizarre, prolonged silence. This isn't how we roll after bringing home the Lombardi, is it?

Is Something Brewing Behind the Scenes?

So, why the holdup? The source article throws out a few theories. They mention the "non-war war" in Iran, which is wild to consider. But honestly, the White House has been carrying on with its usual public business, even hosting the NCAA football champions, the Indiana Hoosiers. So that explanation doesn't quite add up for our Hawks, does it?

Could it be some behind-the-scenes drama, maybe backchannel discussions about, say, how many players would even attend? Or perhaps the White House wanted to dodge a potential rejection or a sparsely attended event. And who could blame our Seahawks if they wanted to avoid a 3:00 a.m. social media firestorm, complete with a longwinded complaint about kickoff formations? It’s a messy situation. Think back to 2013, after *that* legendary Super Bowl win, our guys were visiting the White House by May 21. That’s a massive difference from what we're seeing now!

Now, is there still a tiny sliver of hope? Our Hawks are set to play the Commanders at FedEx Field on Sunday, September 27. They'll be right there in the D.C. area, after two regular season games in 2026! But will they even want to think about looking in the rearview mirror at that point? It all hinges on whether an invite magically appears, and then, a big if, if they even decide to accept. We're still waiting for answers, 12s, and this whole thing feels pretty off for our Super Bowl champs. What do you think, Emerald City? Do our Hawks deserve this recognition?
