There Is Positive News For Seahawks QB Geno Smith & His Knee Injury

It was a stressful week for the Seattle Seahawks, not just because they lost to the Green Bay Packers... In the middle of the game, starting QB Geno Smith went down with a knee injury and in came backup QB Sam Howell. Things DID NOT look good moving forward in the game, and the Seahawks were never fully back in the game.

The Seahawks were already without RB Kenneth Walker III, and lost their starting center Olu Oluwatimi in the middle of the game as well.

The good news here, Smith and Walker both took part in Seattle’s walkthrough on Wednesday morning, and Smith was a full participant in practice. Walker did not participate, but it sounds like he may on Thursday.

The Seahawks (8-6) are tied with the Los Angeles Rams for first place in the NFC West with three games remaining. While having the same record, and playing them the final week of the season, the Seahawks are going to need to win games on pace with the Rams to make sure they have a shot to beat them in the final week for the NFC West title and a spot in the playoffs.

It became really clear that the Seahawks NEED Geno Smith after watching Sam Howell in for the Seahawks. If Smith stays healthy, he gives the Seahawks the best possible chance to beat an 12-2 Vikings team.

This will not be an easy game regardless, but Geno Smith is clearly the solution right now at quarterback, and we are thankful he seems to be healthy after the scare from last week.
