Brunson Drops 33 and the Knicks Are One Win Away From Sweeping Philly Out of the Playoffs

The New York Knicks just took a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Philadelphia 76ers, and honestly, it's starting to feel like a formality at this point. Jalen Brunson went off for 33 points in Game 3, the Knicks held Philly to just 29% from three-point range, and now the 76ers are staring down a potential sweep with Game 4 coming up Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

The Knicks Found an Answer for Everything Philly Threw at Them

Here's what's wild about this series: New York has basically neutralized every adjustment the 76ers attempted. Karl-Anthony Towns got in foul trouble? The Knicks had a counter. The 76ers went after Mitchell Robinson with hack-a-Mitch? Knicks adjusted. Paul George came out hot? Didn't matter. And they did all this without OG Anunoby in the lineup.

This isn't luck. This is championship-caliber poise. Mikal Bridges added 23 points and kept his improved play rolling. The whole squad showed they can weather whatever comes at them and respond with their own adjustments. That's the kind of basketball that wins in May.

Philly's Window Is Closing Fast

Joel Embiid returned for Game 3, but he's not looking like the MVP version Philly needs right now. He looked more like the version who got routed at home against Boston earlier in the postseason. That's not the energy you want when you're down 3-0 and staring at elimination.

The 76ers need to win Game 4 on Sunday just to keep their season breathing. If they don't find something, they're heading home.
