Cowboys and Giants Open 2026 on Sunday Night Football, Full Schedule Drops Thursday

The NFL officially kicked off its 2026 schedule announcement, and the marquee matchup is already set: the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys are facing off in Week 1 under the bright lights of primetime Sunday Night Football. That's the kind of opening statement the league loves to make.

The rest of the Giants' full 2026 schedule is dropping Thursday, May 14 at 7:30 p.m. ET on the Giants' official website, app, and social media. That means we're about to find out exactly who John Harbaugh and his squad are facing across a 17-game grind, and where the road games are going to take them.

The Rookies Are Here

While the schedule news dominated the headlines, the Giants have been busy building the foundation for the future. Rookie minicamp has wrapped, and the org already has their 2026 draft class getting fitted for equipment and assigned jersey numbers. You can see GM Joe Schoen's vision taking shape with this year's crop of talent. The offseason workout program is also in full swing, with Phase 2 now underway as players continue to ramp up conditioning and install.

Roster Moves Keep Rolling

The Giants didn't wait around either. The front office signed defensive lineman DJ Reader and claimed defensive lineman Zacch Pickens off waivers. They also locked in four of their draft picks to rookie contracts and brought in seven undrafted free agents to round out the roster depth. Every move matters when you're building something new under a new coach.

The Giants are hosting a 2026 Town Hall Event presented by Verizon at Beacon Theatre, giving fans a chance to connect with the organization as this new era gets rolling.

Week 1 against Dallas is circled. Check back Thursday night for the full schedule and start planning your fall.
