Giants and Cowboys Kick Off 2026 on Sunday Night Football, Rest of Schedule Drops Thursday

The NFL schedule is officially here, and the New York Giants are getting primetime treatment right out of the gate. Dallas and New York will square off in Week 1 on Sunday Night Football, setting the tone for what's shaping up to be an interesting season under head coach John Harbaugh.

When You'll See the Full Picture

The Giants' complete 2026 schedule hits the internet Thursday, May 14 at 7:30 p.m. ET. You'll be able to grab it on the Giants' website, their app, or their social media channels. So if you've been curious about the full slate and what the season looks like beyond that Week 1 showdown with Dallas, you won't have to wait much longer.

Building Something New

There's a lot of fresh energy in East Rutherford right now. The Giants wrapped up their rookie minicamp, got their draft class fitted for equipment, and signed undrafted free agents to round out the roster. Defensive lineman DJ Reader also joined the fold, and the team claimed DL Zacch Pickens off waivers. The offseason workout program is rolling into Phase 2, and there's clearly a plan taking shape under Harbaugh and GM Joe Schoen.

That Week 1 matchup against Dallas is going to be a measuring stick early. Both teams will be looking to set a tone in primetime, and for the Giants, it's a chance to show what this new era looks like from day one.
