Giants and Cowboys Open 2026 on Sunday Night Football, Full Schedule Drops Thursday

The NFL just dropped a scheduling bombshell: the Giants and Cowboys are squaring off in Week 1 primetime. Sunday Night Football is getting the NFC East rivalry treatment right out of the gate, and the rest of the Giants' 2026 schedule hits the internet Thursday, May 14 at 7:30 p.m. ET.

When You'll See the Full Picture

The complete Giants schedule rolls out Thursday night across the Giants' website, app, and social media. That's when we find out the full gauntlet for John Harbaugh's squad. Right now, the only confirmed opponent on the board is Dallas in Week 1 on SNF, but come Thursday evening, the entire 17-game roadmap gets unveiled.

What This Means for Giants Fans

Opening the season in primetime against a division rival is huge for eyeballs and intensity. The Cowboys are always a statement game, and getting them in Week 1 sets the tone early. Harbaugh's got his roster built with recent moves like signing defensive lineman DJ Reader and claiming DL Zacch Pickens off waivers. The rookie class is locked in too, with first-round picks like linebacker Arvell Reese and offensive lineman Francis 'Sisi' Mauigoa getting their feet wet in minicamp.

Looking Ahead

Thursday night is when the real schedule picture comes into focus. Until then, we know one thing for certain: Week 1 is primetime, it's the Cowboys, and it's on Sunday Night Football. Get ready.
