9 International Games, Cowboys in Rio, and the Seahawks' Mystery Opponent: Everything We Know About the 2026 NFL Schedule Right Now
The full 2026 NFL schedule drops Thursday night at 8 p.m. ET, but let's be real: the leaks have already started and they're not stopping. The broadcasting networks are doing their thing, dropping prime matchups one by one, and if you're a Seahawks fan trying to circle the games on your calendar, you're going to want to pay attention because some big stuff is already out there.
Week 1 Is Here, and the Seahawks Have Company
NBC just announced the first Sunday night game of the season: the New York Giants hosting the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 13. But here's what matters to us in the Pacific Northwest: the Seahawks are already booked for Week 1. On Wednesday, Sept. 9, an opponent TBA will be traveling to Lumen Field for an 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff on NBC. Yes, we don't know who yet, but the Seahawks are locked in for opening night and it's going to be primetime.

Dallas got two announcements dropped on them Monday. Fox revealed that the Eagles will visit the Cowboys for Thanksgiving on Nov. 26 at 4:30 p.m. ET. But here's the wild part: the Cowboys are also heading to Rio De Janeiro for Week 3 to take on the Ravens on Sept. 27 at 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+. That's right, an international game in Brazil in Week 3. The NFL is getting aggressive with global expansion, and 2026 is the year it happens.
Speaking of international games, the NFL is playing a record-setting nine games outside the United States this season. The full international slate drops Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. ET on "Good Morning Football," but leaks are already flying. We're looking at games in Melbourne, Australia; Rio De Janeiro; London (multiple weeks); Mexico City; and Munich, Germany.
