Amon-Ra St. Brown Is "Motivated as Ever" and the Lions Are Banking on a Full Offseason to Cash In

Detroit's star wide receiver is heading into 2026 with a chip on his shoulder and a full offseason under his belt, and the Lions organization is feeling the energy. Amon-Ra St. Brown told ESPN he's been "motivated as ever" as he looks ahead to next season, signaling that whatever happened last year is in the rearview mirror.

The Reset Detroit Needed

Having a complete offseason makes all the difference for a player of St. Brown's caliber. Unlike years where injuries, shortened prep time, or late-season fatigue creeps in, St. Brown is coming into 2026 fully recharged and locked in. This isn't just talk from a player trying to pump up the fan base. When a guy like St. Brown says he's as motivated as he's ever been, that carries weight in a locker room.

Why the Lions Should Be Bullish

Detroit is banking on St. Brown returning to form as a centerpiece of their offense. A healthy, hungry St. Brown paired with the rest of the Lions' roster gives the team real confidence heading into the new season. The offseason work, the mental reset, the physical preparation - it all adds up to something tangible the organization can build around.

For Lions fans, this is exactly the kind of signal you want to hear from your best playmakers. St. Brown isn't making excuses. He's ready to get to work, and that mindset trickles down to everyone around him.
