Auburn's Already Stacking World Records And National Titles, And Jon Rothstein Just Noticed

Holy smokes, folks, what a wild ride it's been down in Auburn! While we're all here buzzing about our own teams, the Tigers are out there absolutely tearing it up across multiple sports, already snatching up national titles and even a world record. And get this: Jon Rothstein, the college hoops guru himself, just dropped Auburn into his 'Rothstein45' ranking. Yeah, you heard that right, Auburn's making waves before the season even fully kicks off, and it's not just on the hardwood.

Dominance Spreads Far Beyond the Court

Let's just talk about Ja'Kobe Tharp for a minute. The man, a junior, didn't just win, he set a new Hurdles World Record! You can't make that stuff up. Tharp, alongside Ajayi, also led Auburn to two more national titles. That's some serious hardware already hitting the trophy case. And it's not just track and field; the talent is showing up everywhere. We also saw Jackson Koivun, who initially spoke about delaying his PGA career, officially join the PGA Tour, foregoing his senior season. That's a huge move for a young talent. Even off the field, there's buzz, with Golesh cracking the top 50 of The Sporting News' head coach rankings. Auburn is just a factory for winners right now, it feels like.

e looks incredibly bright too. Nate Kamba's pledge just pushed Auburn into a top 10 recruiting ranking, which is insane! They also landed a coveted defensive lineman, beating out an SEC rival. Plus, the 'playstyle' is a major fit for 2027 guard Frashad Tisby, and 2027 guard CeCe Dennis has an official visit scheduled. And get this: Jackson Sanders is 'staying loyal' and will return for 2027. Steven Pearl is out there hustling, visiting Beckham Black and Lewis Uvwo at a top 100 camp. On the baseball diamond, Auburn landed a former Big Ten transfer, even with three pitchers and a veteran outfielder entering the transfer portal. Phil Steele has five Auburn players on his Preseason All-SEC teams, and they'll have seven representatives at the MLB draft combine. Byrum Brown's even on Athlon Sports' top transfer QB list! There's so much talent coming in and getting recognized, it's hard to keep up! What a start to, well, everything. With the 2026 women's basketball SEC opponents already revealed and the soccer team showing off their 2026 schedule in a unique way, you know the grind doesn't stop. Plus, night games will be scarce for the Tigers in 2026, which is an interesting twist. All this early season momentum, from national titles to recruiting wins and Rothstein's nod, means one thing: the upcoming seasons for Auburn are going to be absolutely ELECTRIC. Get ready to watch these guys make some noise!
