Dominic Canzone Just Hit His First Career Grand Slam and the Astros Had No Answer

The Seattle Mariners showed up in Houston on Tuesday and absolutely dismantled the slumping Astros, 10-2, with Dominic Canzone launching his first career grand slam and Bryan Woo pitching lights out. This wasn't even close. This was a statement win on the road against a team that's been struggling, and every part of the Mariners' lineup clicked.

Canzone Goes Yard in a Big Way

Let's start with the obvious highlight: Dominic Canzone crushed his first career grand slam, the kind of moment that gets the whole dugout jumping. That one swing put serious runs on the board and set the tone for everything that followed. When a guy connects on that stage for the first time in his career, you remember it. The Mariners' bats were hungry, and Canzone delivered in the biggest way possible.

Arozarena and Woo Keep the Pressure On

Randy Arozarena wasn't about to let Canzone have all the fun. He went off for four hits and drove in three runs, keeping the pedal down throughout the game. Meanwhile, Bryan Woo was the anchor on the mound, working six quality innings and giving the Mariners exactly what they needed. When you've got that kind of production from both your bats and your arms, you're going to win convincingly.

The Astros couldn't find any rhythm. Houston came into this game already struggling, and the Mariners capitalized on every opportunity, turning a Tuesday night in Texas into a rout. This is the kind of win that shows what a healthy, locked-in Mariners team can do, especially early in the season when every game matters and momentum is everything.
