Messi Just Shattered the MLS Record Nobody Thought Was Breakable

Lionel Messi did it again. The legendary forward has officially set a new MLS record for 100 goal contributions, shattering what was previously thought to be an untouchable mark. Inter Miami dominated Toronto FC, and once again, Messi was at the center of everything that went right. This is what happens when one of the greatest players in soccer history decides to finish his career in MLS: the record books don't stand a chance.

Another Day, Another Piece of History

At this point, we should stop being shocked every time Messi breaks a record, but it still hits different. The man showed World Cup class in Inter Miami's rout of Toronto FC, reminding everyone watching that age is just a number when you're playing with the kind of technical brilliance Messi possesses. This is exactly what MLS signed up for when the Herons brought him to Florida. Not just a superstar, but a relentless record-breaker.

What's Next for the League?

With Messi continuing to rewrite the MLS history books, the entire league is watching. De Paul showed up with World Cup quality right alongside him, proving Inter Miami isn't a one-man show even though it sure looks that way sometimes. The question now isn't whether Messi will break more records, it's which ones are next on his list. For Seattle soccer fans keeping tabs on the league, this is the kind of dominant performance that reminds you why MLS is worth your Thursday night.
