Emerald City Represent!

This isn't just some casual tournament, people. This is the Special Olympics USA Games, the national stage! Our WSHS Unified squad is heading out there in June 2026, carrying the flag for our entire state. And let's be real, this is more than an "incredible honor," it's a massive moment for these players. West Seattle High isn't just playing games, they're a Special Olympics National Banner Unified Champion School, leading the charge with inclusion and unity. They show everyone what's possible when we all come together, truly embodying that Seattle spirit. Rachel Myers, the WSHS Unified Sports coordinator, nailed it when she said this trip is a "once-in-a-lifetime" shot for these kids to compete and truly "show what's possible." This is what Seattle is all about, right? Lifting each other up and celebrating every win!

Our Squad Needs Us To Step Up

Now, a trip like this, to compete on a national stage, it takes some serious support. These athletes deserve every single resource and every bit of help we can give them to make this dream a reality. That's where *we* come in, Seattle! Our generosity ensures every player has what they need to thrive and be seen, on and off the court. We're talking travel, competition resources, all the good stuff that makes a difference. They've got a Zeffy fundraiser going on right now, and every donation, big or small, counts towards making this "once-in-a-lifetime" experience a reality. Head over to zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/support-wshs-unified-sports and let's show these Wildcats how much the Emerald City believes in them. This is our chance to be a part of their Wildcat Unified community and back these amazing players! Let's make sure they shine bright! So, as we gear up for a big Friday night with the Mariners back home at T-Mobile Park, kicking off a 6:40 pm game against San Diego, let's also keep our West Seattle High Unified squad front and center. While we're cheering on Julio Rodriguez and Cal Raleigh, let's remember the young athletes who are about to bring so much pride to our city in June. This isn't just about a game, it's about what our community can achieve together. Let's make sure they have everything they need to absolutely crush it at the Special Olympics USA Games. Let's get loud, Seattle! Let's show up for *all* our teams and make this a moment they'll never forget!
