$1,735 For USMNT Tickets in Seattle? That's What A 4-1 World Cup Rout Just Did.

Alright, Seattle, listen up, because the Emerald City is about to host a World Cup match, and the hype is through the roof. We're talking about tickets for the US Men's National Team's clash against Australia right here in our backyard, and the "get in price" on the secondary market? A mind-boggling $1,735! You read that right, almost two grand to just get your foot in the door. That's not just a little bump, folks, that's an enormous 61% increase in ticket prices over the last three days. Our city is buzzing, and it's all thanks to the USMNT absolutely demolishing Paraguay in their World Cup opener!

The Cost of World Cup Fever Hits Lumen Field

This wild surge in demand for the USMNT's second group stage match against Australia, set for Friday at 3 p.m. ET right here at Lumen Field, is a direct result of their incredible performance. That 4-1 beatdown of Paraguay on Friday night in Inglewood, California, just lit a fire under the entire tournament. And get this, it’s not just our game getting pricey. The Group D finale on June 25 against Turkey, back in Inglewood, has seen an even bigger proportional spike, with its get-in price jumping a ridiculous 73% to $1,516 over the same period. If you thought we had surging expectations for this squad before, now it's undeniable.

History Made, Odds Shifted, Expectations Soaring

That victory against Paraguay wasn't just a win, it was historic. We saw Folarin Balogun net two fantastic goals, Gio Reyna added another, and Paraguay even chipped in with an own-goal. This wasn't just a great performance, it was the first time the USMNT has ever scored four times in a World Cup finals match! And it was only the third time they’ve won by three goals, with the other two coming way back in the inaugural 1930 tournament. Talk about making a statement! Bookmakers have definitely taken notice, too. The USMNT's average World Cup title-winning odds have dropped from 50-to-1 or higher down to a much more respectable 40-to-1. As of early Saturday afternoon, our boys are now the fourth-most-expensive draw in the whole tournament, sitting right behind powerhouses like co-host Mexico, Brazil, and Portugal. So, get ready, Seattle. Whether you're forking over the cash to be in the stands at Lumen Field or screaming at your TV from your couch, this upcoming match against Australia is going to be something special. The USMNT has incredible momentum, and you know they're looking to keep that foot on the gas. This is our chance to see them continue to prove that they belong with the best in the world. Let's show them how we do it in the Pacific Northwest!
