This unique challenge refined his puck handling, vision, and overall hockey IQ under immense pressure, building his confidence and understanding of professional hockey at a crucial age. The rigorous Swiss professional season undoubtedly prepared him immensely for the rigors of the NHL, ensuring he was more than ready to step straight into the Toronto Maple Leafs lineup as a dominant force immediately after being drafted first overall.
