Barcelona Fan? You NEED to See What Jorge Salinas Did in La Liga 2!
Alright, listen up, because Barcelona is on the verge of making another HUGE splash in the transfer market, and this one has "future star" written all over it! Forget about waiting around, the Blaugrana are reportedly *this close* to locking down their second major summer signing, and it's none other than the phenom Jorge Salinas from Racing Santander. If you haven't heard the name yet, get ready, because this 19-year-old talent is about to become a household name at Camp Nou.
Seven Assists From Left-Back? You Heard That Right!
Let's talk about why everyone, including the scouting departments of top-flight clubs, is buzzing about Salinas. This kid just wrapped up a truly stellar campaign with Racing Santander, a season that saw his team not just perform well, but actually top the La Liga 2 table and secure promotion back to the Spanish top-flight! And guess who was a massive part of that success? Salinas, holding down the left-back position like a seasoned veteran, not a 19-year-old.

He wasn't just defending, either. Across 32 league appearances, Jorge Salinas racked up an absolutely head-turning seven assists! Think about that for a second: a left-back, setting up seven goals. That's insane vision and attacking prowess from a defensive role, and it's exactly why Barcelona's management, led by Deco, has been zeroing in on him.
Barca Beating Out the Competition for This Young Promise
It's no surprise that a talent like Salinas, especially after a breakout season helping his team get promoted, had "a number of top-flight clubs" knocking on his door. But it looks like Barcelona is all set to beat out that stiff competition to get his signature. The latest word from the Spanish media is clear: this deal is practically done. According to a report from Diario Sport, ‘Jorge Salinas is very close to becoming FC Barcelona’s second signing for the 2026/27 season. Deco’s sporting management has ‘tied up’ the young promise of Real Racing Club de Santander and, if nothing goes wrong, his signing will be closed before June 30.’
So, get ready, Barcelona faithful! This isn't just another prospect; this is a proven talent who just delivered big time in a promotion-winning season. With the official word expecting to drop before June 30, we're talking about days, maybe even hours, until this kid is officially Blaugrana. Keep your eyes glued to the news, because this move could be absolutely massive for Barcelona's 2026/27 season. You don't want to miss what happens next!
