Brendan Sorsby's Gone, and Seattle Fans Are Still Craving News That Actually Matters

Yo, Seattle! What's up?! I'm over here scrolling through the feeds, trying to find some real talk about our Emerald City teams, and what do I get? A whole lot of college ball chatter. Seriously, it's April, the regular season is already in full swing for our Mariners, and the Seahawks are deep into their prep. I'm hyped, you're hyped, the 12s are always hyped! But sometimes, man, it feels like the rest of the sports world is just ignoring us.

College Buzz or Bust?

Okay, I get it, national sports news gotta national sports news. And yeah, some of this college stuff is wild. LSU's new coach, Will Wade, has already finalized four hoops transfers and they're facing an early season test against Gonzaga. Good for them, I guess? But then there's the whole Brendan Sorsby saga. This guy, the Texas Tech QB, parted ways with the team amidst a gambling scandal and is now eyeing the NFL supplemental draft. They're even saying his PR strategy is only digging its hole deeper. Talk about a mess. And the Pac-12 commissioner got his contract extended amidst expansion talks. Cool, I guess.

Where's the Green and Blue?

But honestly, my mind is 100% on OUR teams. Forget Miami edging out Florida for a 2027 safety, or UCLA adding a blue-chip playmaker. I want to know what's happening *right now* with Julio Rodriguez at the plate for our Mariners. How's Cal Raleigh's early season form looking behind the dish? Are our guys healthy and ready to roll? And the Seahawks, man! We've got Mike Macdonald leading the charge, Brian Fleury cooking up the offense. I'm eager to see Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Rashid Shaheed making plays. Is Sam Darnold looking sharp? These are the early trends and player performances we, the fans, are desperate to hear about. Not some five-star Ohio State hoops commitment reclassifying to 2026. I'm here for Matty Beniers, Jordan Eberle, and Jared McCann tearing it up for the Kraken. I want to see Vince Dunn making moves on defense, Joey Daccord standing tall in net. I care about Cristian Roldan and Jordan Morris on the pitch for the Sounders. Every game, every early season outing, every player's performance matters to us. Let's get some *real* news for the 12s, about the teams we live and breathe for! Go Seattle!
