College Football 26 Just Dropped Version 1.022 and Nobody's Ready For the All-Nighters
Alright, fellow 12s, I know we’re always locked in on Lumen Field or T-Mobile Park, but can we talk about this new drop? Seriously, my controller has been glued to my hands because College Football 26 just hit us with a massive new update today, May 28, bringing us to version 1.022. You know I'm usually breaking down the D-line or who's making noise on the basepaths, but this? This is a game-changer for my off-field hours, and it's already got me buzzing!
The Gaming Grind Just Got Real
Listen, when you're not screaming for the green and blue, sometimes you gotta get your competitive fix elsewhere. And today, May 28, was an absolute firestorm of updates across the board. Besides College Football 26, we saw an Apex Legends Update 3.11/1.000.125 drop, with the Power Trip Event surging out on June 2. That’s gonna keep us busy! Borderlands 4 Raid Boss 2 Update also hit today as Patch 1.070, so if you're into that, it's time to dive in. And The Finals Version 10.9.0, Update 1.000.142, even needed an immediate hotfix, which tells you they're serious about keeping things running smooth. Even Arma Reforger Partisan Patch 1.7 came through as Console Update 1.070.041. And yeah, Fortnite Update 40.41, Patch 1.000.221, dropped too. It’s a busy day if you're trying to keep up with all the digital action!

Beyond the immediate patches, there’s some other massive news that’s got the whole gaming world buzzing, and yeah, even a Seattle sports fanatic like me takes notice. Modern Warfare 4 is officially confirmed for Switch 2, with pre-order bonuses and different editions revealed, and it's set for an October 23 release. Plus, a Call of Duty 2026 teaser is out there, already hinting at its release date. Talk about looking ahead! We also heard Crimson Desert DLC is being explored by Pearl Abyss, who also have two new titles in development. And for those looking for a deal, the PlayStation Store "Days of Play" 2026 Sale just kicked off with some sweet deals. Oh, and for Witcher fans, a new DLC called "Songs of the Past" for The Witcher 3 was announced for a 2027 release. Heads up, though: Marathon was down on May 26 for Update 1.0.9.1, and Marathon and Destiny 2 servers were both down on May 26 with Bungie investigating issues. The Division 2 was also down on May 26 to deliver Y8S1.3. Hopefully, everyone’s back online!
So yeah, while we wait for the next Mariners game or how the Seahawks are shaping up, don't sleep on these digital battlegrounds. I'll be grinding out some plays, probably screaming at my screen, until the next big update. Stay tuned, and Go Hawks, and go get those updates!
