Cristian Roldan Is World Cup-Bound and Nobody in Seattle Is Ready For The Party

Hold onto your scarves, Seattle, because the biggest news of the summer just dropped and it's absolutely massive! Our very own Cristian Roldan, a true legend of the Rave Green, has officially been named to the United States Men's National Team roster for the FIFA World Cup 2026. Can you believe it? The kid from the University of Washington is heading to the biggest stage in global soccer, and the Emerald City is about to erupt! This isn't just a call-up, folks, this is history in the making for one of our own.

Roldan's Journey to the Global Stage

Talk about earning it, right? Cristian Roldan has poured his heart and soul into Sounders FC since he was drafted as the No. 16 pick, and he’s racked up 400 matches for the club. Think about that, 400 games! He's one of only two Sounders to ever hit that incredible milestone. From our local college fields to becoming a cornerstone of our midfield, Roldan has always been about relentless effort and pure class. Seeing him get this call for the USMNT, for the World Cup on home soil, it just hits different. You know he's going to leave everything out there, just like he always does for us. This is what you dream about as a player, and it's happening for our guy!
