Fiorentina's Shocking Truth About Moise Kean: He's On The Market, Right Now

Alright, so get this, folks. Manchester United just got a monster boost in their chase for Italian striker Moise Kean, and honestly, if you're a United fan, you gotta be buzzing. While a striker isn't exactly their absolute top priority right now, it's definitely a spot they've been eyeing this summer. Especially with Benjamin Sesko's deputy, Joshua Zirkzee, looking like he's finally outta there after trying to bounce not once, but twice. If Zirkzee heads out, then yeah, they absolutely need a replacement. Links have been pretty quiet because it hasn't been a pressing issue, but names like the experienced Danny Welbeck and Robert Lewandowski have been floating around as potential mentors for Sesko. And then you've got the younger guys, Karl Etta Eyong and our main man, Moise Kean. If Kean's the guy they want from Fiorentina, then hold onto your hats, because the door just swung wide open!

The Boss Dropped A Bomb

This past Thursday, Fiorentina chief Fabio Paratici spoke to the media, and what he said was absolutely wild. He straight-up refused to rule out a potential Kean exit. Seriously, when asked if the striker stays or leaves, Paratici told Laviola, “As for Kean, he’s absolutely an asset to Italian football and Fiorentina. Everyone knows how fond I am of him; I’ve seen him grow from when he was 9 years old to the Champions League. I even sold him once under my management. I’m fond of him, like all the players I’ve had. But we’re in a transfer windo

w. We hope and want him to be our number nine. But not all football clubs are masters of their own destiny on the market, except the top five or six in the world. I think this is a sincere and realistic response for our fans.” Talk about being blunt! He wasn't trying to make it sound like Kean is untouchable. Nah, Paratici basically put Kean right in the shop window for everyone to see.

Why Kean Is On The Block

So, why the sudden openness to selling a player they supposedly love? Well, Fiorentina had a pretty rough go of it in the 2025-26 campaign, man. They were actually battling relegation, which is just brutal. Now, they're staring down the barrel of a massive rebuild. Kean, who former Italy striker Christian Vieri called "phenomenal," is one of their most valuable players, and selling him would seriously help fund that much-needed overhaul. Yeah, his stats last season weren't great, he only bagged eight goals in 26 games, which is kinda underwhelming. But don't sleep on him! His numbers in the 2024-25 season were straight-up brilliant, with 19 goals in 32 appearances proving he can be absolutely deadly. He’s definitely got what it takes to be a capable alternative to Sesko up top for United. Remember how INEOS tried to sign Kean last summer but couldn't get it done? Well, now Fiorentina is basically giving them a second chance to seal the deal. This isn't just a rumor folks, this is real. The ball is in Manchester United's court. Are they gonna make the move? We'll all be watching to see if they capitalize on this huge opportunity.
