Fleury's Whiteboard Masterclass Has DraftKings Thinking Super Bowl LXI, and You Should Too!

Alright 12s, buckle up because the buzz coming out of the VMAC is LOUD, and it ain't just the Puget Sound wind! Our new Offensive Coordinator, Brian Fleury, totally blew the Seahawks away with a straight-up masterclass, a thorough whiteboard demonstration that locked him in. And get this, the energy is so real, DraftKings already has our Hawks with the second-best odds to win Super Bowl LXI! Yeah, you read that right. The second-best in the entire dang league. It's early, but the pieces are moving, and this team is shaping up to be something special.

Offseason Moves Already Making Waves

That Fleury hire is just the start, folks. The front office has been busy, and some of these early moves are already getting serious love. ESPN, for crying out loud, named the Josh Jobe deal our best offseason move. Think about that, the national spotlight is on us, praising our decisions! We also made a slick trade, snagging special teams star Irv Charles from the Jets. That kind of depth can change games, especially in the Emerald City where special teams often make or break it.

And then there's the backfield. The Najee Harris signing? Yeah, that move is ideal for us right now, adding some serious punch and experience. Plus, our rookie running back Jadarian Price officially signed his contract. That's a good sign for a young guy getting into the mix. We are building, fam, and these early additions are setting the tone.

Key Players Stepping Up and Getting Healthy

The roster is looking good, and some of our key guys are already making noise. Our star receiver, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, is gearing up for a monster year. He's got seven marquee matchups against top cornerbacks on the schedule for 2026, which means he's going to be tested, but we know he's ready to shine under pressure. Speaking of offense, QB Sam Darnold is going to face some tough tests too, with four notoriously tough opponents already on the radar for 2026. He’ll need to bring his A-game right from the jump.

On defense, we're seeing some promising signs. Linebacker Demarcus Lawrence just made his first appearance at OTAs, which is fantastic news for our pass rush. Rylie Mills, our defensive lineman, is carrying serious momentum into OTAs after Super Bowl 60, and we are absolutely here for it! Nick Emmanwori in the secondary? Word is he might be even more versatile in 2026, which is exactly what you want to hear from a young DB. Plus, we've got positive news on Tory Horton, with a good injury update for our wide receiver. And we're keeping an eye on linebackers Dante Fowler Jr., as details of his contract emerged, and Uchenna Nwosu, who's heading into a major contract year. It's all about getting everyone healthy and hungry!

What's Next for Our Hawks?

This early chatter about Super Bowl LXI odds from DraftKings and the NFL naming the Rams as our biggest threat to unseat us as champions? It just shows everyone is watching what we're building here. Our team is shaping up, making moves, and getting ready to dominate. We might even hold a joint practice with a familiar 2025 opponent, which is always a good way to sharpen those blades. Plus, the NFL's moved the roster cutdown deadline up by two days, so every rep, every decision, every practice, it all matters even more.

The season hasn't even kicked off, but the energy, the potential, and the high stakes are already making this an electrifying time to be a Seahawks fan. Let’s get loud, 12s, because this squad is ready to make some serious noise!
