The diamond heroes of Eastern Washington have officially been recognized, with the Greater Spokane League (GSL), Northeast A, Northeast 2B, and Southeast 1B leagues announcing their Spring 2026 all-league baseball teams. Leading the charge in the highly competitive GSL 4A/3A division, Gonzaga Prep's senior infielder Anthony Karis earned the coveted Most Valuable Player award, a testament to his phenomenal season and leadership. The sheer depth of talent showcased across these leagues highlights the passion and dedication of Washington state's prep baseball players.

GSL 4A/3A's Elite Shine Bright

The GSL 4A/3A proved to be a hotbed of stellar individual performances. Karis's MVP nod underscores a dominant year for the Gonzaga Prep Bullpups, who also saw senior ace Dylan Croall named Pitcher of the Year. Croall’s command on the mound was a nightmare for opposing batters all season, often shutting down high-powered offenses. Not to be outdone offensively, Mt. Spokane's senior slugger Braeden Parker was recognized as the 4A/3A Offensive MVP, a fitting honor for a player who consistently drove in runs and sparked his team's attack. The University Titans' Coach Kevin May was deservedly named Coach of the Year, guiding his team with tactical prowess and player development. The First Team selections in the GSL 4A/3A read like a who's who of rising stars and seasoned veterans. From Lewis and Clark, seniors Brody Bugbee and KJ Kinkade demonstrated their formidable presence. University placed three talented players on the First Team, including junior Leyton Hurley and the dynamic Longo brothers, Marco and Luca. Richland's Mikey Macall and Caden Andreas also earned spots, alongside Gonzaga Prep's Jackson Mott and Jacob Wilson, showcasing the diverse talent pool that makes the GSL 4A/3A one of the state's premier leagues. These young athletes consistently leave everything on the field, embodying the spirit of Washington prep sports.

2A Division Boasts Standouts, Northeast A Crowns Co-MVPs

Moving to the GSL 2A, the West Valley Eagles celebrated their own MVP, senior Ollie Spencer, whose all-around play made him an invaluable asset. Pullman's Coach Kevin Agnew earned Coach of the Year honors, guiding his team to a strong season. The 2A First Team featured a blend of promising youth and senior leadership, with Pullman sophomore pitcher Brody Barnett and West Valley sophomore Carson Gaumer making their mark. North Central catcher Tavish Carruthers, a sophomore, also stood out, alongside senior infielder Nick Elliott. These players, from the biggest 4A schools down to the smaller 2A programs, all share the same drive to compete and excel. Beyond the GSL, the Northeast A league also honored its top performers, showcasing the depth of baseball talent throughout Eastern Washington. Lakeside's senior Cy Reeves and Colville's senior Jet Bateman were both named Co-MVPs, a clear indication of their exceptional seasons and the competitive balance within their league. Lakeside's Tim Klein was recognized as Coach of the Year for his outstanding work. The success of these regional leagues is vital for fostering baseball talent that can eventually compete for WIAA state championships. As the dust settles on the Spring 2026 season, these all-league selections are a proud moment for the players, their families, and their communities, offering a glimpse into the bright future of high school baseball in Washington state.
