Jared Curtis Is Getting a Hollywood Movie Role and College Football Fans Should Be Stunned

Alright, Seattle On Tap crew, listen up because this is wild. You thought NIL deals were getting crazy? Vanderbilt quarterback Jared Curtis just took it to a whole new level, and honestly, the Emerald City's sports world is still trying to wrap its head around it. This dude's NIL deal reportedly includes a role in a Hollywood movie. Yeah, you read that right. A *movie*. This isn't just about endorsements anymore, folks, this is flat out bonkers.

From the Gridiron to the Big Screen, For Real

So, here's the deal, straight up. Curtis, the Commodores' five-star signal-caller, apparently scored a part in a new Hollywood flick called "The Breadwinner." And get this, the guy who cast him? It's none other than comedian and huge Vanderbilt superfan Nate Bargatze. You remember that wild moment last season when Bargatze made his pitch to Curtis live on ESPN's "College GameDay"? Well, it worked. The report from OutKick says Curtis actually appears in the film. What's his role, you ask? He's in a scene, rocking a Vanderbilt baseball cap, while shopping for a car. It's not a leading role, but come on, it's a *movie*. How many college athletes can say that? NIL is truly changing the game, and not just on the field.

Why This Kid is Such a Massive Get

Now, why is a guy like Jared Curtis getting this kind of a deal? Because he's legit, that's why. This 6-foot-4, 225-pound quarterback was the No. 4 overall prospect and the No. 2 quarterback in the 247 Sports composite's Class of 2026 rankings. He's a four-year starter from Nashville Christian, and his high school numbers are insane: nearly 10,000 passing yards and over 2,000 rushing yards. Dude is a certified playmaker. He was so sought after that he actually flipped his commitment from Georgia to sign with his hometown Commodores back in December. That move made him the highest-rated recruit in Vanderbilt program history. So yeah, he's a talent, and this movie deal just cements his superstar status before he even takes a snap. The landscape of college football is just morphing before our very eyes, isn't it? What does this mean for future recruits looking at potential schools? When you can get a Hollywood movie role as part of your college deal, it's not just about playing time or coaching anymore. This is a whole new ballgame, folks. It's a sign of the times, and honestly, it’s wild to watch unfold.
