Jazzy Davidson Just Joined the Most Exclusive Freshman Club in Women's College Basketball

USC's freshman guard is doing something almost nobody in women's college hoops can do as a rookie. Jazzy Davidson filled up the stat sheet all season long, and now she's written her name into history by joining an elite group of freshmen who dominated in literally every category that matters.

The 500-150-100-50-50 Club

Here's what separates the good freshmen from the historic ones: Davidson recorded at least 500 points, 150 rebounds, 100 assists, 50 steals, and 50 blocks in her freshman year. That's not a typo. One season. All five stat categories at that level.

The company she just joined? JuJu Watkins (her current teammate), Sarah Strong and Maya Moore from UConn, Cheryl Miller from USC, and Candace Parker from Tennessee. That's it. That's the list. When you're a freshman and your name belongs in a sentence with those names, you've done something that maybe one in a thousand players ever do.

What makes this even crazier is that Davidson didn't need to be a specialist in one area. She filled out the entire stat sheet. Points, rebounds, assists, defense on both ends. This isn't a scorer who can't defend or a lockdown guard who can't create offense. She did everything.

The Watkins Factor Changes Everything for 2026

Last season, Watkins tore her ACL in the 2025 NCAA Tournament and missed the entire year. That opened the door for Davidson to come in as a freshman and find her role without fighting for minutes. She took full advantage.

Now imagine what happens when Watkins comes back healthy. USC is about to have a backcourt that could be one of the best in the country. Davidson proved she can contribute and make an impact in literally any game, which means as USC heads into next season, these two together could be scary good for the Trojans.

For Davidson, this freshman performance isn't just about what she did on the court this year. A skill set that complete, at that level, as a teenager? That's WNBA trajectory stuff. But first, she's got a whole lot more college ball left to play, and with Watkins coming back, USC is about to be one of the most fun teams to watch in women's basketball.
