Tim Patrick brings veteran experience to a Jets team that's been actively building through free agency this offseason. The signing was reported on May 13, 2026, and represents another piece of the puzzle as New York looks to put together a competitive roster. A Busy Day for Jets Moves

The Patrick signing wasn't the only transaction happening around the Jets on Wednesday. The team also officially cut defensive back Christopher Smith from injured reserve with an injury settlement, per the NFL transactions wire. Smith was 26 years old when he was released. Building for the Season Ahead

For Jets fans, the Patrick signing is another indication that the organization is serious about adding veteran talent during the offseason. Whether it's acquiring proven receivers or making roster adjustments on the back end, New York is clearly in work mode. The next step will be seeing how these new pieces fit together once the team gets on the field and starts competing. All eyes will be on how the Jets' offense gels when it matters most.
