John Calipari Landed THREE Five-Star Recruits: Nobody Else in College Hoops Even Came Close!

Alright, Emerald City! You gotta hear about this! High school hoops recruiting is officially back on center stage, and the finalized 2026 class rankings just dropped. The 247Sports Top247 is locked in, and let me tell you, there's been some serious shake-up. Duke commit Bryson Howard lost his five-star status, but three other ballers officially earned theirs, bringing the grand total to a whopping 19 five-star prospects. But here's the real kicker: a few programs absolutely cleaned house, and one coach, in particular, just reminded everyone why he's still a legend.

Calipari and Kansas: The New Recruiting Kings

Talk about power moves! Kansas locked down the top-ranked recruit, Tyran Stokes. This isn't just any signing; it makes the Jayhawks the first program in almost a decade to snag the No. 1 overall prospect in back-to-back recruiting classes. That's insane! Imagine the talent stacking up in Lawrence. They are building something special, no doubt about it. But hold up, because while Kansas made history, John Calipari is out here *being* history. Only three programs in the entire 2026 class secured multiple five-star prospects: Arkansas, Duke, and Kansas. And get this: Calipari's Arkansas Razorbacks were the *only* team to reel in a mind-blowing *three* of those elite talents! THREE! Since he rolled into Fayetteville in 2024, he's already signed six of Arkansas' top ten highest-rated recruits in the modern era. That's pure recruiting dominance, folks. The man is a magician. He keeps proving why he's one of the best in the game, bringing in top-tier talent like it's nothing.

High School Hoops Is Back on the Radar, Big Time

You know how the transfer portal has taken over the college hoops world lately? Coaches haven't been out watching high schoolers as much during the winter months. But with the portal wrapping up a month ago and most schools having the majority of their rosters solidified for next season, the focus swung back to the high school circuit this past weekend. College coaches had three days to scout talent at grassroots events, and the 247Sports staff was all over it, providing live coverage of five different circuits. This was a continuation of a scouting schedule that kicked off last month. It's a clear reminder that even with all the roster musical chairs, finding that raw, five-star talent straight out of high school still matters big time. So, what does this all mean? The 2026 class is absolutely stacked, and some programs just got a massive shot of adrenaline. Kansas is on a historic run, and Calipari's Arkansas squad is looking like a force to be reckoned with for years to come. Keep an eye on these future stars, Emerald City. They are coming to a court near you, and it's gonna be epic!
