Knicks Sweep the Sixers in Game 4 and the Philadelphia Season Is Done

It's over. The New York Knicks just completed a clean sweep of the Philadelphia 76ers in the playoffs, winning Game 4 in dominant fashion. The Sixers' season ended on May 10, 2026, and there's nothing left to say except that Philadelphia got outplayed when it mattered most.

The Sweep Is Complete

The Knicks didn't just beat the Sixers in Game 4. They took them apart. This wasn't a close series that came down to the final possession. New York handled Philadelphia in four straight games, and now the 76ers are heading home while the Knicks keep moving forward in the playoffs. The Sixers had their chances, but they couldn't find a way to get even one win against a Knicks team that looked locked in from the jump.

What Went Wrong

Jared McCain scored 18 points in just 18 minutes off the bench in a playoff game, which tells you something about the depth issues Philadelphia was dealing with. But even that spark wasn't enough to flip the script. The reality is that the 76ers couldn't sustain what they needed to do over four games. Nick Nurse's team ran into a Knicks squad that simply executed better and made fewer mistakes when the stakes were highest.

Looking Ahead for New York

The Knicks are rolling. They just won their seventh straight playoff game, which means they're playing as well as any team in the postseason right now. This sweep wasn't an accident or a fluke. New York came to play, and Philadelphia couldn't match that intensity over an entire series. The Knicks have momentum heading into their next matchup, and after what they just did to the Sixers, the rest of the league should be paying attention to what's happening in New York.
