Legacy Dismantles Astralis in Back-to-Back Sweeps, Eyes Natus Vincere in Group B Final

Two days, two dominant performances, zero losses. Legacy just keeps rolling through Intel Extreme Masters Atlanta, and frankly, nobody else in Group B is keeping pace right now.

The all-Brazilian squad absolutely demolished Astralis on Tuesday with a 2-0 sweep to punch their ticket to the Group B upper-bracket final. We're talking a 13-8 shutdown on Dust II followed by a crushing 13-6 victory on Nuke. This is the second straight day Legacy has swept an opponent, and the message is crystal clear: they came to Atlanta to take home that $125,000 grand prize, and they're not messing around.

Bruno and Dumau Put on a Show

Bruno "latto" Rebelatto and Eduardo "dumau" Wolkmer were absolutely unreal against Astralis. Both guys posted 37 kills each and combined for a plus-31 kill-death differential. When two of your players are that efficient and that deadly, the other team is getting sent home early. That's exactly what happened Tuesday.

Legacy will face Natus Vincere in Wednesday's Group B upper-bracket final. Natus Vincere earned their spot by topping GamerLegion 2-1 in a closer fight. The Ukrainians started strong with a 13-4 victory on Inferno, but GL came back with an absolute clinic on Ancient, winning 13-1. Natus Vincere closed it out 13-11 on Mirage. Ihor "w0nderful" Zhdanov led the way with 44 kills, while Valeriy "b1t" Vakhovskiy chipped in 43 kills in the victory.

The Rest of the Bracket Is Still Alive

In Group A, four teams are still unbeaten and grinding toward the semifinals. BetBoom Team (all-Russian) took down Team Vitality 2-1 in their upper-bracket semifinal with wins of 13-10 on Anubis and 13-8 on Nuke, sandwiched around a 13-8 loss on Overpass. Kirill "Magnojez" Rodnov and Aleksandr "zorte" Zagodyrenko each dropped 50 kills for BetBoom.

paiN Gaming, another all-Brazilian team, scraped past FUT Esports 2-1 with a 13-8 win on Nuke, a 13-10 loss on Overpass, and a tight 13-11 victory on Dust II to advance. Guilherme "piriajr" Barbosa led the charge with 55 kills.

The $300,000 event wraps up Sunday with the grand final going best-of-five. Wednesday brings the upper-bracket finals for both groups, plus lower-bracket semifinals. Legacy's looking like the team to beat right now.
