May 12 Stanley Cup Playoff Start Times Are Official, and the Second Round Is About to Get Brutal

The NHL just dropped the start times for May 12's playoff games, and if you've been glued to these second round matchups, you already know what's coming. The intensity is about to ramp up even more.

We're deep in the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs right now, and the second round is firing on all cylinders. The Anaheim Ducks just evened their series against Vegas with a Game 2 victory, while the Buffalo Sabres got off to a hot start in their matchup against Montreal. Meanwhile, the Colorado Avalanche and Minnesota Wild are going back and forth in the Western Conference, with MacKinnon lighting it up on the power play and Kaprizov striking back just as fast.

Second Round Is Already Delivering

This isn't your typical playoff hockey anymore. Youth is carrying teams now. The Ducks have Sennecke giving them spark and swagger in their playoff run, and the Sabres have their own young core gaining valuable experience. It's the kind of intensity where every shift matters, every goal gets replayed a thousand times, and momentum swings on a single power play conversion.

The Canadiens made it this far after an incredible Game 7 battle against Tampa Bay in the first round, but they're being tested early in this series against Buffalo. Vegas thought they had control after Game 1, but Anaheim shut them down in Game 2 to even things up. That's playoff hockey right there.

Mark Your Calendar for May 12

With start times now officially locked in for May 12, you can plan your watch parties and make sure you don't miss a second. The second round schedule is packed with must-watch moments, and every game from here on out feels like it could be the one that defines someone's season.

Clear your calendar. May 12 is coming, and these teams are not slowing down.
