Minjee Lee and 5 More LPGA Stars Just Committed to WTGL and the Indoor Golf League Is Getting Real

The inaugural WTGL season is officially happening, and the player roster just got a whole lot more star-studded. Six more LPGA Tour players announced their commitment on Tuesday, headlined by three-time major champion Minjee Lee from Australia, who's also an 11-time LPGA Tour winner. This isn't some side event anymore. This is the real deal.

The Roster Is Stacked With Elite Talent

Joining Lee in the tech-infused indoor golf league are Danielle Kang, Megan Khang, Andrea Lee, France's Celine Boutier, and Switzerland's Albane Valenzuela. Those six bring serious credentials to the table. With this announcement, WTGL now has 14 total player commitments, and the quality is undeniable. Five of those 14 are currently sitting in the top 10 of the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings: Jeeno Thitikul at No. 2, Charley Hull at No. 4, Lee at No. 7, Lydia Ko at No. 9, and Lottie Woad at No. 10.

The league is pulling in major champions, Olympic athletes, and Solheim Cup representatives from around the world. This isn't a B-team experiment. These are players fans actually know.

Here's What's Next

Play is expected to tip off later this year at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Pete Jung, chief marketing officer of TMRW Sports, put it plainly: "WTGL continues to build momentum as a global platform for LPGA stars and women's team golf." The momentum is real. Players are committing, ownership groups are interested, and potential partners are circling.

One notable absence? World No. 1 Nelly Korda has not committed to the league. That's worth watching as the inaugural season approaches.
