Minnesota Just Snapped Colorado's Perfect Playoff Run and Nobody Saw It Coming

The Wild walked into Game 3 and did what everyone said they couldn't do: they beat the Avalanche. Not just beat them either. They controlled the whole thing. Colorado rolled into this series looking untouchable, but Minnesota had other plans, and now this matchup is wide open heading into Game 4.

Wild Take Control When It Matters Most

This wasn't some fluky bounce or a hot goalie stealing a game. Minnesota came out and dominated Game 3, playing the kind of playoff hockey that actually wins Stanley Cups. They controlled the pace, made Colorado chase them around the ice, and walked out with the W. That first playoff loss for the Avalanche? It stings, especially when you thought you had this team figured out after the first two games.

Kaprizov Steps Up Big

Kirill Kaprizov is looking to be a game changer in this series moving forward, and Game 3 showed exactly why. He's the kind of player who can take over when his team needs it most, and Minnesota is counting on him to keep this momentum rolling. When you've got a guy who can shift the whole vibe of a playoff series, you ride him.

What's Next for This Series

The start times for Games 4, 5, and 6 between Colorado and Minnesota are locked in, and this thing is about to get spicy. One loss doesn't end a series, but it definitely changes the energy. The Avalanche are still the favorites on paper, but they just learned that Minnesota came to play. Game 4 is going to tell us a lot about whether the Wild can keep this run going or if Colorado recalibrates and takes back control. Either way, we're in for a battle.
