They're making some serious noise right now!

Big Red's Softball Squad Is Goin' Deep

But wait, hold up, because there's more action happening for the Big Red. The Nebraska softball team? They're absolutely crushing it, showing everyone they're primed for a serious, deep postseason run. We're talking regional final wins, stats glowing like a neon sign, highlights popping up everywhere you look. They battled it out with South Dakota and then Grand Canyon, pulling off victories that absolutely got everyone in college softball talking. And get this for some individual brilliance: Frahm got named a finalist for USA Softball's Collegiate Player of the Year. That's a massive deal, showcasing the elite talent fueling this whole surge. They're back in the NCAA Tournament again, and you can bet they are definitely in a prime position to go deep. Man, you just love to see it when a team totally gets it and makes a run when it counts most!

The Future Looks Seriously Bright on the Hardwood and Diamond

And it's not just what's happening this season. The future for these Nebraska squads across all their sports is looking absolutely stacked, you guys. On the basketball court, they're already locking down some huge matchups for 2026, including a showdown against Providence in the super prestigious Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off. Plus, they already know their full 2026-27 Big Ten travel schedule, so they're planning way ahead, smart move! And get this: they even inked a South Dakota State transfer to the basketball squad. It's smart roster building, pure and simple.

Then you look at the football recruiting scene. These guys are making a strong push for a class of 2027 tight end, already put an offer on the table for a class of 2029 Texas running back, and are even predicted to land a massive four-star wide receiver. Their new QB for 2026 is already out there setting "Big goals" for the team, which is exactly the kind of leadership and ambition you want to hear from your signal-caller. Even the alumni are making big moves, with a former running back signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars and a former quarterback playing wide receiver in Giants rookie camp. Oh, and a former forward transferred to a Final Four team, too. The talent pipeline is clearly real and flowing!

What's Next for the Big Red?

So, after all that action, what's next for these Nebraska squads? Their baseball team, fresh off that epic sweep, just earned a No. 2 seed in the Big Ten Baseball Tournament, so they're totally set to make a serious run there. Keep your eyes peeled for them.
