Nobody's Talking About Cristian Roldan's World Cup, and That's a CRIME

Alright, Emerald City, can we talk about something important? While everyone's busy with, like, whatever random news is out there, our guy, Cristian Roldan, is out there on the biggest stage in the world, representing the USMNT at the freakin' World Cup! And honestly, the lack of chatter about this incredible moment for one of our own Sounders? It's just wild, man. This is *our* player, out there making moves, and we need to be screaming about it from the rooftops.

World Stage, Seattle Pride: The Games We're Watching

You know it's a wild tournament when headlines are already dropping left and right. We've seen a 40-year-old goalkeeper absolutely stun the world by shutting down Spain, proving that age ain't nothing but a number when you've got heart. And yeah, the opening game between Belgium and Egypt ended in a 1-1 draw, setting the tone for what's sure to be a wild ride. These are the moments, the upsets, the nail-biters that make the World Cup what it is. And the coolest part? We've got a piece of Seattle right there in the mix, Cristian Roldan rocking that USMNT jersey.

What's Happening With Our Guys on the Pitch?

Listen, we're all glued to every USMNT play, right? We're hoping our boys make some serious noise. While we heard there was a "positive update" from the USMNT coach regarding Christian Pulisic, which is great for the team's morale and performance, every Sounders fan is also zeroed in on Roldan. He's been called up, he's earned his spot, and he’s ready to leave it all on the field. That’s the kind of grit we love to see from our Seattle players, no matter what colors they're wearing on the international stage. It's about more than just the results, it's about seeing one of our own in that environment. While the Mariners are grinding away with Cal Raleigh behind the plate and Julio Rodriguez tearing it up in center, and the Seahawks with Sam Darnold under center and Jaxon Smith-Njigba catching bombs, our attention is also split globally. Same with the Kraken battling it out with Matty Beniers and Jordan Eberle leading the charge. But right now, on the global stage, it's all about that USMNT hustle and Roldan representing the Emerald City. So, as the World Cup unfolds, you know we'll be watching every kick, every save, and cheering the loudest for Cristian and the USMNT. The excitement is palpable, and with our guy out there, every match feels personal. Let's keep that Seattle energy going strong for Roldan, because he’s out there for us, and we're hyped to see what he brings to the pitch next! Go USA, and Go Roldan!
