Nobody's Talking About Seattle, And That's The Real Problem Right Now

Hey, 12s, let's talk. I just spent way too much time scrolling through the Bleacher Report feed, looking for some real Emerald City juice, and you know what? Nothing. Zero. Zip. It's early April, our teams are in full swing, and nationally, we're an afterthought? That just ain't right.

MLB Is Heating Up, But Where Are Our M's?

You scroll past all the soccer stuff and the random UFC fights, and you hit the MLB section. There's some wild stuff going down around the league, I'll give 'em that. You got the Rockies putting up a ridiculous 23-9 score against the A's, which is just insane for any game, let alone early in the season. Talk about an offensive explosion! Then you see a pitcher like Yamamoto nearly pull off a no-hitter, only for it to end in the 9th. Man, that had to sting for him, but what a performance to start the year! And Miz throws a 15 K complete game? That's pure dominance on the mound right there. We're seeing clutch homers, too, with Ben Rice coming up big in the 9th, and Goldschmidt delivering in his own clutch moment. Caminero and Okamoto going yard, too. It's clear that baseball is back with a bang around the league, full of early season heroics and big plays. But where's the national spotlight on T-Mobile Park? It just feels like everyone else is getting the hype for their early season form, while our Mariners are working hard, maybe a little too quietly, getting ready to make their own noise.

NFL Chatter Is Wild, And Other Sports Are Buzzing Too

Then you see the NFL section, and it's already talking about "Trades to Shake Up Playoff Races." Hold up, playoff races? It's April! We're literally just getting into the regular season for some of these guys, and they're already worried about playoff implications? Come on. For us, the 12s, our Seahawks are focused on the grind, on getting better every single day. We're not worried about what some trade might do down the line. We're here for what our boys are doing on the Lumen Field right now, building that foundation under Coach Mike Macdonald. And it's not just MLB and NFL. The WNBA is in full swing, with new rankings coming out after just one month of play. You've got players like Angel dropping 15 points and 17 rebounds in a single game. It just goes to show, there's action everywhere. But it really makes you wonder why Seattle isn't getting a slice of that national attention pie. It's frustrating to see the national chatter ignore the hustle happening right here in Seattle. While the rest of the league gets the big headlines, we know what's up. Our M's are out there battling. Our Seahawks are putting in the work. So let 'em talk about their other teams. We'll be over here, cheering on our own, ready for whatever this early season throws at us. Go Hawks, Go M's! The season is just getting started, and we're ready for every single moment.
