Nobody's Talking About Vincent Iorio's Secret Stunt Double Gig, And That's a Crime
Hold up, Seattle. You thought you knew everything about the NHL's rising young talent? Think again. Turns out, New York Rangers defenseman Vincent Iorio, the blueliner scooped up from the San Jose Sharks just this past January 31, 2026, has been secretly living a double life. And get this: it involves a wildly popular romance series that’s got everyone glued to Prime Video. We're talking Hollywood level stuff here, folks!
The Blueliner, The Books, And Briar University
Iorio, originally a second-round pick back in the 2021 NHL Draft, finished his 2025-26 season with the Rangers, tallying three assists for three points. At just 23, he absolutely embodies this new wave of skilled, younger players taking over the league. But while making plays on the ice, he was also apparently making magic on screen. This kid isn't just about slapshots, he's got another whole career going!

The show, "Off Campus," is a romance series that's absolutely exploded in popularity, based on a successful book series by Canadian author Elle Kennedy. The main character, Garrett Graham, is the star hockey player for a fictional Briar University. And who do you think was lacing up his skates for all those action-packed on-ice scenes in the first season? Yep, our guy Vincent Iorio. He filmed his portions last summer, right there in his home province of British Columbia. This is the kind of crossover event we never knew we needed!
From Puck Dropping To Backwards Crossovers: The "Off Campus" Connection
Jalen Thomas Brooks, who plays the fun-loving character of Tucker on "Off Campus" (a winger sporting No. 46 for Briar U, who also apparently loves to cook), spilled the beans about Iorio's secret gig. Brooks revealed the entire cast got super into the NHL, personally following young stars like Jack Hughes and Connor Bedard. He even got direct mentorship from Iorio while on set! Brooks raved about his improved skating skills thanks to Iorio and the show. He went from barely skating backwards in Season 1 to full-on scrimmaging by Season 2 training this past May. The dude can even skate faster backwards than forwards now and pull off backward crossovers! All eight episodes of "Off Campus" Season 1 are streaming on Prime Video, and Season 2 filming is underway. It's highly possible Iorio will be back for more stunt doubling.
So, what's next for the secret hockey hero with a burgeoning TV career? Whether he’s dishing out more assists on the ice or performing more incredible stunts for a hit series, one thing is certain: the line between our beloved sport and the entertainment world is getting blurrier. Seattle, we need to talk about it more, because this crossover is pure gold!
