Pistons Just Pulled Off the Most Insane Comeback in Playoff History, and the Cavaliers Are Next

Forget everything you thought you knew about comebacks. The Detroit Pistons just erased a 3-1 series deficit to beat the Magic in Game 7, and now they're walking straight into a second-round matchup with Cleveland. This is the kind of run that changes a season, and the basketball world is still processing what just happened.

Cunningham and Harris Carry Detroit Over the Edge

Cade Cunningham dropped 32 points to lead the way, but it was Tobias Harris who delivered when it mattered most, pouring in 30 points in the decisive Game 7. The Pistons defeated the Magic 116-94, which sounds clean on paper, but the real story is how they got there. Down 3-1 in a series? Most teams fold. Detroit didn't. They fought back, forced Game 7, and then went out and dominated in the deciding game. That's not just basketball, that's character.

Elite Defense Meets High-Powered Cavaliers Attack

Now comes the real test. The Pistons' elite defense is about to collide head-on with Cleveland's high-powered offensive attack in the conference semifinals. This is where momentum meets talent, and honestly, it's exactly the kind of matchup that defines a playoff run. The Cavaliers are coming in as the fresher team, but Detroit has something you can't coach into anyone: they've already proven they won't quit, no matter how deep the hole.

The conference semifinals are officially underway. The Timberwolves took down the Spurs in Game 1 despite Victor Wembanyama's playoff-record 12 blocks. The Knicks blew out the 76ers 137-98 with Jalen Brunson dropping 35 points. Eight teams remain, and the intensity is about to get real.
