Seattle's Waterfront is About to Get UNREAL and Nobody in the Emerald City is Ready For It
Yo, Seattle! We’ve got HUGE news, and if you’re not already buzzing, you need to be. The FIFA World Cup 2026 is rolling into our city, and T-Mobile Park and Lumen Field aren't the only places heating up. We're talking about a first-of-its-kind waterfront fan experience, the Seattle Soccer Celebration, literally floating on Elliott Bay at Pier 62! Can you even imagine? This isn't just a watch party, it's a whole vibe with a floating mini pitch, live music, delicious food, and culture from across our amazing city. Mark your calendars, because this is going to be the can't-miss event of the summer, period.
Roldan's Ride to the Big Stage and Sounders Keeping it Real
And speaking of big stages, can we get a massive shoutout for our guy, Cristian Roldan? From tearing it up at the University of Washington to becoming a Rave Green legend, he's just announced his call-up to the USMNT for the biggest stage in the world! This dude was the No. 16 draft pick and has now played 400 matches for the Sounders, one of only two players ever to hit that milestone. That's dedication, that's heart, that's what we love to see from our boys. You can even grab a Cristian Bobble Ticket Bundle for the August 19 match against Austin, which sounds like a total steal.

While we're talking Sounders, let's not forget the grind. We’ve seen some intense action recently. There were highlight reels from matches against Los Angeles Football Club on May 24, LA Galaxy on May 16, and the San Jose Earthquakes on May 13. And talk about clutch moments: a Sounders player tallied a game-winner with just one minute to spare in one match! Plus, how about a Sounders player who dribbled the entire field before netting Seattle's second goal of the night? That’s the kind of fire we expect!
World Cup Kicks Off and Our Rivalry Night Looms Large
The World Cup 2026 is already underway, folks! We saw Egypt and Belgium share points in a 1-1 draw to open Group G play, and the USMNT came out swinging, opening their campaign with a dominant 4-1 victory over Paraguay. We're talking about global soccer right here in our backyard, and the excitement is palpable. Keep an eye out for previews, like when Egypt faces IR Iran right here in Seattle.
Before all that international glory takes over, don't forget our own domestic battles! Get ready for an electric rivalry night right here at Lumen Field as your Sounders FC take on those Portland Timbers on July 16. Tickets start at just $20.26, so there's no excuse not to pack the stands. Bring that Seattle energy, make your voice heard, and let’s show Portland what the 12s are really made of! It’s crucial we bring that same passion we show for the Mariners or the Kraken to every Sounders game, especially against our biggest rivals. Let’s go, Rave Green!
