Shohei Ohtani Is Out For a Bit, But Our M's Pitched a SHUTOUT You Need to Hear About!
Alright, Emerald City! Did you catch the buzz about Shohei Ohtani? Yeah, the Dodgers superstar is gonna be missing some time from the diamond. He was a late scratch for Friday night's game, and the word officially dropped that the dude is on paternity leave, expecting his second kid! Huge congratulations to him and his family, obviously. But listen, while the rest of the league is dealing with unexpected lineup changes, our Seattle Mariners just went out and absolutely handled business in a way that'll get you pumped!
Ohtani on Paternity Leave, No Return Date Yet
So, yeah, the two-way phenom Ohtani was a no-go for Friday's game, which was against the Baltimore Orioles. Fabian Ardaya from The Athletic was the one who broke the news, confirming Ohtani's paternity leave. As of right now, we don't have any official word on when he'll be back in action, and the rumor mill is even suggesting the Dodgers might not officially put him on the paternity list. This whole last-minute situation with Ohtani's scratch from the lineup might've been the exact reason why the Dodgers' official lineup for that night wasn't released until much later than its usual afternoon slot. Talk about a curveball! It’s wild to think about, but hey, family first, always, right?

Our pitching was lights out, the defense was locked in, making every single play, and we put up just enough crucial runs to seal the deal against a tough team. This is the kind of gritty, hard-fought performance that sends a message across the league and gets you absolutely hyped for what’s to come!
