Spokane's Got All-League Teams and Nobody in Seattle Is Ready For It
Alright, Seattle, you hear that noise? The Spokesman-Review just dropped their list of Spring 2026 high school sports all-league teams for the Greater Spokane League and Eastern Washington. That's cool and all, our future stars are out there grinding, making names for themselves. But let's be real for a sec. When the big "sports news" from across the state is about high schoolers in Spokane, our Emerald City hearts are craving something else, something bigger, something that makes us bleed green and blue! We're deep into the regular season for our Mariners and Seahawks, and the Kraken and Sounders are battling hard. Our minds are firmly on our squads!
East Side's Shine, But Our Eyes Are on T-Mobile Park
It's awesome to see the young talent in Eastern Washington getting their moment, with those all-league teams being announced. You gotta respect the hustle, no doubt. But for us, for the 12s, it's April, and we're dialed in on a different kind of league. We're glued to T-Mobile Park, watching every swing Julio Rodriguez takes, wondering what Cal Raleigh's bat is gonna do next. Every pitch, every at-bat, that's what's got us on the edge of our seats right now. Over at Lumen Field, we're buzzing about Sam Darnold under center and what kind of plays Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Rashid Shaheed, and Cooper Kupp are cooking up with Coach Mike Macdonald and OC Brian Fleury. We're checking in on their form, watching for those early season flashes. It’s what we live for, you know?

And let's not forget our other heroes! The Kraken are battling on the ice, with Matty Beniers leading the charge. Captain Jordan Eberle, Jared McCann, Chandler Stephenson, Berkly Catton, Kaapo Kakko, and Tye Kartye up front, laying down the hits and finding the net. On defense, Adam Larsson, Vince Dunn, and Brandon Montour are locking things down, and Joey Daccord is making incredible saves between the pipes. We're looking for that early season chemistry, that relentless push. For the Sounders, it’s all about the pitch. We’re so stoked to see Cristian Roldan get that USMNT call-up, and Jordan Morris is out there making things happen. We're watching for their early trends, that winning form as the season gets going. It's not about specific stats yet, but it's about that collective energy, that fight, that passion our teams bring every single game.
The Season's On, Seattle!
So, while we tip our cap to the high school heroes out east, our focus is crystal clear. Our teams are out there, fighting every night, every Sunday, every weekend. We’re looking forward to seeing our Mariners take the field, our Kraken hit the ice, our Sounders dominate the pitch, and our Seahawks own the gridiron. What's at stake? The season, baby! Every single game right now builds towards something bigger. The early form, the health of our players, the chemistry emerging in April, it all matters. Let's go, Seattle! Let's get it done!
