Texas Earns Back-to-Back WCWS Titles, And Seattle Fans Are Only Talking About Our Own Squads
Alright, so the word is out there, loud and clear: Texas just pulled off a wild back-to-back Women's College World Series title win, taking down Texas Tech in Game 2. Big congrats to them, no doubt. But honestly, as soon as that news dropped, every single one of us bleeding green and blue was already refreshing our feeds, looking for *our* news. Because let's be real, it's April, the regular season is finally here for our teams, and our focus is locked on the Emerald City's own.
Mariners On Our Minds: Who's Gonna Step Up Early?
You know the vibe. That crack of the bat, the smell of fresh-cut grass at T-Mobile Park. We live for this! We're all glued to every early pitch, watching to see how this Mariners squad is gelling. We're talking about Cal Raleigh behind the plate, ready to launch some bombs into the stands. And our superstar, Julio Rodriguez, you know he's already got us dreaming of those highlight reel plays in center field. It's early, sure, but every swing, every throw, every save feels like it's setting the tone for what's ahead. Are they finding their rhythm? Are the new guys fitting in? We're watching it all, every single game, because this is our year to prove it.

Over at Lumen Field, you know the 12s are already hyped up for Mike Macdonald's debut season. Our new head coach is at the helm, and we're looking for that fresh energy. Sam Darnold is under center, and we're all buzzing about Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Rashid Shaheed lighting up the receiving game, with Cooper Kupp adding that veteran presence. We're craving those big plays, that dominant defense right from the jump. Down the street at Climate Pledge Arena, the Kraken are battling hard on the ice. Matty Beniers, Jordan Eberle, Jared McCann, Vince Dunn, Joey Daccord in net, they're the heart of this team, and we're seeing what they can do early. Can they find that consistent flow, that relentless attack? And then there's our Sounders FC. Cristian Roldan recently got that USMNT call-up, and alongside Jordan Morris, these guys are pure passion on the pitch. Every match is a chance to see that chemistry build, that winning mentality take root.
So yeah, Texas took home a championship, and good for them. But around here, the only thing that truly matters is what our Seattle teams are doing, right now, in April. We're just getting started, watching for those early trends, that undeniable fire. You know we'll be there, cheering them on every single step of the way. What's next for our Mariners, Kraken, Seahawks, and Sounders? Everything, man. Everything is at stake, and we wouldn't have it any other way!
