That Miami Jersey Just Blew Up Jaxson Dart's Birthday, And The Giants Already Have A Locker Room Problem Nobody Saw Coming

Alright, Seattle fam, you gotta hear about this wildness coming out of New York. We're talking NFL drama, and it's barely even summer! Jaxson Dart, the Giants' young QB, just had his 23rd birthday, and lemme tell you, the celebration went sideways faster than a Seahawks punt return. A "gift" from his rookie teammate has already set the tone for some serious locker room tension, and that's not even the wildest part of the story.

A Birthday "Gift" That Triggered A QB

So, Dart turned 23 on May 13. Pretty standard, right? Nope. His rookie teammate, Francis Mauigoa, the 10th overall pick in last month's NFL Draft, decided to be "fashionably late" with his present, delivering it well over a week after the big day. And what did the offensive tackle get his quarterback? Only a freaking Miami Fiesta Bowl jersey. You can't make this stuff up! The video circulating showed Dart pulling it out of the bag and, no surprise, angrily tossing it to the floor. Why the rage? Because Mauigoa and his Miami Hurricanes squad beat Dart's old team, Ole Miss, in the College Football Playoff last season. Talk about pouring salt in the wound! This isn't just a harmless prank, folks. Mauigoa knew *exactly* what he was doing, and it's gotta make you wonder about the vibe in that Giants locker room already. This kind of "gift" could put a rookie at odds with his starting QB before they even take a snap together.

And Then There's The Other Locker Room Bombshell

Now, if you thought the jersey drama was spicy, hold onto your hats. Turns out, Dart might have *another* reason to be genuinely upset with a teammate. Abdul Carter, a fellow second-year player, took a personal shot at Dart on social media. Why? Because Dart announced President Donald Trump at a rally in New York on Friday. Carter apparently took the appearance personally, suggesting his QB had "erred" in a brief but pretty damning tweet. Sources are already hinting that there's a divide in the Giants locker room over this. Carter tried to walk it back on X, claiming he and Dart had "hashed things out as men" and were "okay." But come on, nobody's buying that with just another tweet. These guys are gonna face a barrage of unwanted questions when they talk to reporters. Two different incidents, two different teammates, and it's only May. The Giants are already making headlines for all the wrong reasons. What does this mean for the Giants' season before it even gets rolling? Early team cohesion is everything, and when your quarterback is dealing with this kind of off-field drama from multiple teammates, it's a huge red flag. You've gotta wonder how a team can gel and focus on football when personal slights and political statements are blowing up the locker room. This kind of early tension can snowball, and it's a storyline we'll definitely be watching.
