Vasilevskiy Wins Vezina Again, And Joey Daccord Is Taking Notes

Alright, Emerald City, listen up! The NHL just dropped some big news, naming Tampa Bay Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy as the 2025-26 Vezina Trophy winner. That's his second time nabbing the honor for the league's top goalie. You know what that means, right? While we're all out here bleeding green and blue for our Kraken, watching Vasy get crowned a two-timer just fires up that competitive spirit even more. We're thinking about our own guys, specifically Joey Daccord, and what it takes to reach that elite level.

What Vasilevskiy's Vezina Means For The Kraken

So, Vasilevskiy is officially a two-time Vezina champ. The NHL announced it on Saturday, recognizing him as the absolute best between the pipes. It's a massive achievement, showing consistent, top-tier performance. For us Kraken fans, this isn't just some distant news bulletin. This is a benchmark. This is what you chase. We've got Joey Daccord, who's been grinding, showing us flashes of brilliance. Seeing a guy like Vasilevskiy get his second trophy is a powerful reminder of the dedication and skill it takes. It fuels the fire for our own goalies, showing them what's possible when you put in the work and deliver night after night. You know Joey's watching, analyzing, and taking notes. That's the kind of drive we love to see in Seattle.
