Blake Sends Hurricanes to 8-0 in Playoffs, Flyers Season Over in OT Heartbreak

Carolina just finished off Philadelphia in stunning fashion. Blake scored in overtime to lift the Hurricanes in Game 4, and just like that, the Flyers are done. No more hockey for Philly. The Hurricanes are moving on to face either Buffalo or Montreal in the Eastern Conference Final, and they're doing it without dropping a single game.

Perfect Through Two Rounds

Think about that for a second. Eight wins. Zero losses. That's not a playoff run, that's a statement. The Hurricanes have been the most dominant team in the Eastern Conference, and they showed it again in Game 4 against the Flyers. Philadelphia fought hard, but when it mattered most in overtime, Carolina had the answer. Blake's goal sent the Hurricanes through, and now they're waiting to see who they'll face next.

The Flyers' Season Ends

For Philadelphia, the season is over. They pushed back during this series, with Konecny and Bump tying things up at 2-2 at one point, and Foerster getting his first career postseason goal. But it wasn't enough. The Flyers couldn't break through against a Carolina team that's been nearly perfect all postseason.

What's Next for Carolina

The Hurricanes are headed to the Eastern Conference Final, and they're waiting on the winner of Buffalo and Montreal. One of those teams will get the chance to face an 8-0 juggernaut that has shown no signs of slowing down. For Carolina, it's been a dominant run through the playoffs so far, and they're still alive for everything that matters in June.
