Oregon State and Wazzu Are Back In the Pac-12, And Nobody's Talking About the Absolute Chaos Coming

Alright, Emerald City! You know we live and breathe our Seahawks, Mariners, Kraken, and Sounders, but even a die-hard fan has to admit, college football is about to drop some absolute bombs! We're only 100 days out from Week 0, and let me tell you, the headlines are already flying. UNC and TCU are kicking things off in Dublin, and while everyone's talking about Bill Belichick's second year at UNC and Josh Hoover bolting for Indiana, there's a much bigger story brewing for us out west. You ready for this?

The Pac-12 Is BACK, And It's Pure Madness

Hold up, did you hear? The Pac-12 is making a comeback, for real! It's gonna be a rebirth of the conference, and our boys, Oregon State and Washington State, are leading the charge. They're welcoming Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, San Diego State, Texas State, and Utah State to the party. And get this, Gonzaga is even joining for basketball season! The whole idea is for it to be the best football conference outside the Power 4. Nothing's a sure thing, but if we get those wild Pac-12 After Dark vibes back? Man, that's entertainment worth staying up for, even if it's not our Huskies in the mix anymore. It's set to be an absolute slugfest out there, a scrappy, no-holds-barred kind of football that just hits different, you know?

Coaching Switches and QB Bombshells

Beyond the Pac-12's wild ride, the coaching carousel last season was INSANE, and we're seeing the fallout already. Lane Kiffin, after a shocking exit from Ole Miss, is heading to LSU. And get this, former Penn State coach James Franklin is now at Virginia Tech, bringing multiple Nittany Lions players with him. Talk about loyalty, right? Or maybe just following the money, who knows? On the field, you know all eyes are gonna be on Texas QB Arch Manning, who's back after going 10-3 in his first full season as starter. And Oregon's Dante Moore? He's sticking around too, passing up a 2026 first-round NFL draft pick chance! That's a huge commitment, showing serious belief in what they're building. You gotta respect that kind of dedication.

Darian Mensah's $4 Million Headache Is Wild

But listen, if you want some real drama, Darian Mensah is the name you need to know. Miami's landed this dude, and it shook college football to its core. This guy led Duke to their first ACC title since 1989, setting single-season records for passing yards and touchdowns. And get this, his contract was believed to be worth up to $4 million! Dude, that's some serious cash for a college player. Duke *sued* over it, and they only just settled on January 26 to let Mensah officially commit. You can bet your bottom dollar everyone's gonna be watching when Duke plays at Miami on November 14. What a mess, but what a signing for Miami, right? It's gonna be must-watch TV.

So yeah, while we're gearing up for another legendary season with our Emerald City heroes, don't sleep on the college game. This 2026 season is gonna be bonkers from day one. Who knows what other crazy storylines are gonna drop before Week 0 even gets here? Can't wait to see it all unfold!
